Bahama Memories: Swimming With Stingrays

The cold December chill makes me reflect on warmer times and climates. A cruise to GRand Bahama Island with the boys lead to a memorable experience swimming with wild stingrays at Stingray City. Boats like these take tourists about 1.5 miles off shore to a waist deep shoal where the stingrays play and swim around tourists for food. Not dangerous, we were told, it was only about a month later that Steve "Croc Hunter" Irwin was fatally speared by a 'ray. Oh well, it was fun. Sort of like a big, sunny party with wild manta rays and 100 strangers.
