Not only the star of my Hal Leonard Ukulele lesson DVD, but I happened to see Lil Rev at the Geneva (IL) Folk Music Festival on Labor Day weekend. A great performer and teacher.
The fest, replete with crunchy Granola types in sandals and tie-dyed sundresses, was fun. Many small pickup bands, with plenty of mandolins (and a few ukes). Here's a photo of an unnamed band of attendees jamming to some old bluegrass romp. Fun!
