Dry Days of Summer

I can see from my balcony that the Fox River is currently very low. Fisherman, camped out on the rocks south of the Geneva Dam, have plenty of places to sit on exposed rocks and get only knee deep crossing from shore to mid-river. We've not had rain in Illinois now for a few weeks. Heck, even my trusty sump pump seems to have taken a parched sabattical. But one day again, the clouds will pour like a heavenly spigot.
